Canada.
In July. Terri will go along, she says. She also says I only go if she goes. At this point about 40 SPF-owning knuckle-heads are gonna make the trip. My drive is a couple of miles fewer than 1500 each way, straight line.
During the 7 days in Baanf there are daily road trips planned between 150 and 250 miles. and then the nightly mayhem -- always fun.
The trip home is planned to go thru Oliver, Canada to see some friends, and then to Moscow, Idaho to visit my eldest son Brendan (you might remember him as 'Dr Drift" back in the day) and his wife Jen.
It is shaping up as about 5,000 miles of driving in the 2-seater (no stinking top allowed), if I can pull it off. The SPF is making about 100 rwhp more than my last almost 3000 mile trip from Colorado to Wisconsin and back by way of Canada, and has a better tune. Should be more fun. Due to the length of the trip, we don't plan any tracking, or serious racing. With my dead arm, suspect brain etc. the goal will be to make back alive.

Good for you, James. 40 cars makes for a good group. You don't all try to travel in one big group do you? Whip cracking of the tail end?

No, cars start from all over the USA and Canada and finally come to Baanf on three major paths. Plus some of the locos will likely end up in a Canadian jail due to driving, too fast. The early arrivals will report back on the tolerance level. This event, like most SCOF events, is really plnned to the max. Octane availability for thirsty engines, reserved blocks of rooms, places to eat. The daily trips. The organizer has this stuff pretty well secured, trying to get rights to share.xbacksideslider wrote:Good for you, James. 40 cars makes for a good group. Reset! I posted somewhere that I bailed on this, right? I am struggling a little with stroke recovery this year and Terri said she was not up to driving the SPF over 4,000 miles -- we kept doing the 'while we are there'' we should visit friends in British Columbia, my oldest boy & his wife in Moscow , Idaho and the trip grew to over 5,000 miles which triggered the 'no mas'. And then just 'no'.
