B-b-b-back in SoCal again.
Terri are back here for 2 weddings, and to pack some SPF parts and ship them to Hastings NE. We are still nibbling around the notion of picking up 10-11 more states in my (low-key) quest to have the SPF visit all of the contiguous states. It has seen approx. 20 so far. Plus Canada. This time she insists that we take the top along in the trunk. meow

You sure get around for a guy with health issues, and, I know what I say, as I hardly can get to the local store for provisions, let alone travel all over the place. And, two weddings? One wedding almost finished me off......

It has been beautiful here.
today the big air b&b 'basket' into which we put all of our eggs (sister Beth from Florida, Adam from Japan, bro-in-law Rick + family from NoCal, us, Ryan) called to say plumbing is broken - so solly, cancelled. Terri found another big place
close to the wedding site with 5/6 rooms -- jumping jack flash. crisis averted.

Glad to hear you found an alternate place. Sucks to have to change plans at the last second. Have fun at all your events. Congrats to Ryan and his bride-to-be!

Event was excellent -- of course it got a little crazy 'cause my sons were involved, and many of the folks were SFV serious drinkers -- all seems to have ended well. No jail time came into play. Only a few hints of law enforcement even being called. Brooke and Ryan are a great-looking couple and seem very fond of each other. Brooke's family is fun.
My 'father of the groom' speech was pretty crappy but sincere, and was my first attempt at speaking to a largish group (100+ people) since the strokes in Jan 2016 -- raising Ryan (30) (and Adam (32) and Brendan (47)) was an interesting process -- I'm sometimes astounded at what they do/say. Terri looked and was great.
I'm a lucky guy.

Re: B-b-b-back in SoCal again.
Things were so hectic that I don't think I mentioned that I ended up sitting on a bench in front of the emergency entrance of a hospital, while Terri and I worked thru whether I should/would allow myself to be admitted -- 2 days before the wedding. I said 'No F'ing Way' and Terri said 'Yes F'ing Way' -- not the 1st time we have had this type of dialog , like the time I thought 1,000 crunches would fix my bad stomach ache -- not realizing that my appendix was rupturing... We made it to the hospital in time on that one I convinced her that if I was admitted to emergency I'd NEVER get released for the wedding and my issues were not THAT bad. I survived
We fly back home Thursday morning and tomorrow is jam-packed with horse-shit activities. Damn, these two weeks ripped.

Time flies when you're having fun. Glad you won the argument by living.
