Cruise-In at the Petersen in honor of Carroll Shelby

Postby SVTRonDogg » Mon Jan 13, 2014 12:02 pm

I ended up hitting this event last minute with my boss this past Saturday. Was a pretty good turnout. I took the Cobra since the GT500 is in the process of a few cosmetic things at the moment.

Here's the best gallery I've found so far: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set ... 993&type=1

No Terminator love, but it does pop up in the background in a few spots. The rusty 427 Cobra is basically a barn find and all original.

Thanks for sharing. That Barn Find Cobra with much-Patina is amazing! I loved that I was able to spy your amazing DSG Termi in numerous shots, lurking in the background.

If it tells me one thing, it is this; At some point in my life, I need at least a brief, yet meaningful relationship with a Ford GT. Perfect car for me. Given that we both have flaws, but I strongly feel we would do well together. :happy-jumpyellow:

They have a Mango Focus ST, with sunroof and Recaro options here at the cheezy local Ford dealership in nearby Page, AZ. I think of you everytime I see it , and have flashbacks of my great memories of my Sonic Blue SVTF from back in '02. One day, I may actually have to sit in it, and see if I am of the rare body type that actually fits well in those amazing looking seats.

Thnx again for the report. ;)

I'm hoping some decent pictures of my DSG pop up online somewhere. I took a few but haven't looked thorugh them yet. It was really looking good, just had a full clay/polish/wax done, never looked better.

When you come down you gotta drive this Focus ST, it really is a blast. I've never been behind the wheel of the Focus SVT, but I can imagine this one being a huge step up.

This car belongs to my boss. 65 K-code fastback. Gorgeous car inside and out, I'd love to get my hands on it some day.

Cool lookin event! Lot's of eye candy for sure. Is that a GT-40 kit car or an original GT-40? My guess is the former, but who knows?

Finally the 'photographer' posted up the Album from the day. Just a bunch of crappy preview pics, which make you purchase the 'good' ones. I didn't see any worth buying.

DSG with a Carlos hood running around there in a few spots.
