Local -- in the sense of USA --- San Marcos, Texas

Terri and I are at the 2014 Texas spring Meet for Texas Cobra Replicas. It is an "all brands" event, but we have about 40 Superformance Replica owners here, with their cars, and Terri and I are managing the pouring of 500-750 delicious margaritas this afternoon for the folks who invited us down, with a lot of helpers.
My car is on a transporter with several other cars on its way over from SoCal. This will be the "unveiling" of version II of #2117, which I bought in 2005 -- seems like a long time ago. The Roush 427 R engine is gone (it was strong but did not feel like a Terminator...) and it now has a Terminator motor running a mild tune with a stock Eaton. Making about 470 to the wheels, fat and lazy until I get some miles on it. I will take pictures. Probably put up a Picasa file and link to it, covering the entire event -- unless I get too drunk to do it. ;)

This #2117 mod project started a long time ago, and then I started the build out of the Mexico property and it sat a while until Adam decided to finish it. A good builder in Fullerton did some final cleanup after Adam had to transfer to Wyoming/Colorado and I didn't want the car to transfer with him... :-D (thanks Adam for all of the good work)

Texas is nice, the people are fun, the car guys are nuts like most car guys. Looks like it will be a good 4-5 days.

Have a great time. Sounds like a really fun trip. I remember all your stories about that car over at SoCalT back in the day.

We poured around 250 last night. All of these Texas dudes kept saying shit like "We'se gots BIG thirst in Texas" yacka yacka so I made them a little stronger than planned. I admired them -- MOST stayed on their feet, but it looked like the night of the living dead after about 3 hours. More chicks were getting really drunk, but a couple of the guys went blotto. Gone. NO headaches this morning, good tequila will let you get toasted and survive without a headache.

We plan to do it again tonight until all of the tequila is gone, but we will NOT order more during the event (at least on my watch)

We poured in all about 400 'gritas we think. :-D Folks were smarter the 2nd night -- word got around that a bunch of "serious drinkers" had been destroyed the night before, so no more "need more tequila" comments. Plus, we lightened the blend just a little. It was better that way.

I drove the SPF from San Marcos to Houston today. About 170 miles. The "new version" cherry has been popped. I will try to put up a couple of pics.

I am very tired tonight and need to crash out.

The SPF with the blown 4.6 is very fast. It has a fat tune, and only is tuned to 460 rwhp max. But in a 2750 or so lb car, that is enough for now, but I want more of course. For no good reason.

Feels good. :-D

Picasa seems to have changed their permission scheme. I will try to check it out today. Such a busy day... :-D

I have some other pics of current projects underway that I guess I will hold off on publishing until this is resolved.
Lago de Walker -- where we are capturing another 120,000 liters of water in addition to the 80,000 liters we already capture in a cisterna.
Jardin de Terri -- a place of peace and tranquility for Terri
