Now since I went to school in Santa Paula, and thus am only equipped o do simple arithmetic, it looks to me like racers still pay $20.00

But, are you going to attend? I need someone worthy, to beat, and, any Terminator fits the bill. Fire818 would be the easiest, as it is a sure win for me versus him every time, but, your car can sometimes spin enough so that it can't run me down as if I hit the brakes, in the last 200 feet. I should call Carlos and see if he is going to show and try to run 130 mph? It is still a bit off in the future, time wise, although If the advance weather reports look favorable, I will change to my DR's well ahead of time, as they are fun to drive around on since they are so much shorter than the OEM size tires that they effectively change the gearing from the stock 3.15's to 3.42's, and, I can clearly feel the difference. After I drive around on the DR's, I always wish that there were a really good shop nearby that could put 3.55's in my car along with an extra clutch plate for the limited slip. But, it seems that no such shop exists and I sure do not wish to introduce vibrations or other issues with a gear change after the experiences with the Terminator. But, 3.55's would be perfect for going through Willow at the top of third gear, and, if my calculations are correct, both my trap speed and ET would be improved.

June 7th is a long way away. I suppose if I have enough sunscreen to make a trip to Mercury bearable, and enough water to sustain me through a trip to hell, I could show

Agreed that it is a long way off in dog years, but, as of now, I intend to go. But, this could change based upon the weather or other unknown factors.

I will be in Tampa exhibiting at our annual trade show. Will probably be hotter there then in Palmdale. Well, at leas more humid.

Good luck to all you guys who do go next weekend.

I have been checking the weather and I may just pass on the Willow drags since this coming Saturday is forecast to be the hottest day of the year thus far with 92* being forecast for noon and max temps forecast to be in the low 100's. Even mid 90's by 7 PM. With no shade and zero track prep and DA at 5000' (?), it could be a long hot day and I might not be able to run 10's, which would be depressing. It seems that evening events are the best bet at Willow and really hot days might best be avoided.

Of course, if there were anyone to smash with the mighty Cobra killer, I might change my mind since I should do relatively better in hot slippery conditions than most. But, I hate not being able to run 10's at 100+.
