Sept 20 Willow Drags
Anyone considering this? Per the current long range forecast, the temps should be down to mid 80's by 7 PM and not too bad, as the night progresses.
I have not put any weak Terminators with my mighty 5.0 on the trailer in a long time.

I am here in SoCal for a couple of weeks, but Terri and I already have plans.
Where are some posters? Is there anything else going on out there? Huh?

Saturday AM, the 20th is the best SoCal motorcycle swap meet - El Camino, not at El Camino College anymore but at Irwindale Drag Strip, I'll get there about 9:30 to stroll around.

Re: Sept 20 Willow Drags
It was fairly good weather but I passed since no one was going to be there to get my back in the event of some mechanical issue surfacing. Also, it is a lot of work for me to change to my drag radials in the desert heat. And, although I like to legally accelerate past the speed limit, I still am not happy with a 1000' strip as the 5.0 is geared to run the 1/4 and top out 3rd gear just about as it crosses the finish line. So, it is just starting to come on the pipe in 3rd when run at a 1000' strip.
In short, unless there are some weak Crapmaros, and/or Mustangs, to put on the trailer, Willow is no big thing since it is way too easy with a tall geared auto trans car on MT DR's. I even run 26 psi hot in the MT's since they still grip well enough even at that inflation. Just mat the throttle and try to get a good RT, as the rest is all done automatically by the car.
