35th Annual ECF Golf Tournament -- September 15th
This will be the final year that Terri and I organize and promote the tournament that Terri's father started and we continued in his memory when he died in 1999.
Over the years the little 'friends and family' event has raised over $1.1 million for ECF, an organization committed to helping persons with developmental disabilities.
And has been a lot of fun.
Terri began supporting ECF in 1975 as a high school student, I began as a requirement for dating Terri. Combined, we have been supporting them in one way or another for 80+ years.
https://www.ecf.net/golf-benefit/ gives the event details.
So why are we slacking off? Recovering from my strokes is taking too much time, and Terri is finally retiring at the end of this year, so the many trips to SoCal to plan and promote the event each year need to stop. Plus, I am a wimp...
We want to invite all of you to join in for this final event. Slider John and his daughter (she kicks a.. on the golf course) have been participating for the past couple of years...
Post up any questions...

Waiting on her schedule, she's trying to resolve conflict with her work

I will be there.
J.R. wants to be there but has a late AM meeting with a supervisor the exact time/duration of which is not yet set. It will be in Simi, so she won't be far. She's pressing for an exact time.

It would be great if she can make it.

Apologies James & Teri.
Jan had her surgery moved up and while it was minor it did involve anesthesia; what with getting out of there about 1:00, getting her home and settled, there was no way I could get out to Westlake. JR too was hung up till the early afternoon and without me there was uncomfortable with the idea of just showing up late.
I trust that you had another successful event for a great cause.

You and JR were missed, the event netted about $62,000 for ECF. You missed the boo-hoo'ing and memory lane stuff about it being our final year blah blah blah...
