Re: Sttars 2013 Round Two Action!
There's another event at HTM september. I'm try my hardest not to miss that one. Yeah, I've known Jeff a few months. I met him through my suspension guy. About a week or so before the race I was talking to my suspension guy who mention Jeff is a bit of a dirty rider. Little did I know how dirty!

Holy crap is right! Good vicarious fun. All that is missing now are some pics and vids -- if they are somewhere else, just point me to them.
Makes me so happy that I am putting around by my lonesome, I am still not ready to fall again.
Way to go, Dave. I was waiting to see how the first multi-faceted spill went, and you seem to be still having fun.
Where DID all of the riders come from?
Brakelate, sorry to hear about the cleanup surgery but your body will thank you in 20 years.

Here is a video I just edited from another rider's camera. This video has a few crashes, including the one of our buddy Tim who was racing my bike. Scary!
2006 CRF450R Supermoto
2004 CRF450R Dirt/Desert Machine
2007 DRZ400SM Streetard

Nice video and editing although it cast racing supermoto as pretty dangerous, which I have come to firmly believe it is. People who I think have significant skills and experience do face plants at kart tracks but, at least, I suppose, the medical help is close by and they are not over a cliff on the street. Too bad the video was apparently shot in low definition since the details would have been clearer in the larger resolution of high definition.
BTW: I want a bike that sounds and performs like the camera bike when you sped it up!!!!!

Ooops. Thought I was the first to get up this morning and find the video available, as I am a "subscriber" to his channel.
I posted a whole new thread. Oh well.
It is funny, I am here to tell "TheKid" not to feel bad, as he had no control over the events that took place. And it appears (unless there is some big secret cover up) that it was rider error and not a mechanical failure of some sort that put him over the bars. You can't carry any guilt about doing a good deed and letting him ride your bike. On the other hand, just as I say that, I sit here and think how bad I feel that the bike I sold him broke. I like to think you are just ribbing me about the motor going, but it still sucks. Honestly, I would have been riding the bike in the exact same condition as I sold it, had I kept it. He had the motor rebuilt and then it threw the rod on this particular day anyway, so I guess I am one step further away from that burden and would really be pissed at the motor builder. Anyway - my real twisted view at this particular moment, is almost relief that he was not on my old bike. Then, I would be carrying the bad mojo of feeling like the motor blew, then he went out and crashed on it. And despite my own solid advice to you, I would then feel REALLY bad and I don't know that I could take all that at this point in my life on top of everything else.
I still need to build up the strength to call Tim. Fucking sucks. I wish him the best in his recovery. If I were in any better financial shape myself at the moment, I would honestly go and buy that bike back from him right now, as it sits. Fuck
