FREE RACE TIRES to our members
As the result of me doing some late night, under the influence bidding on Fleabay, it appears that I may be the proud new owner of a SHITLOAD of new, unused, never mounted Supermoto Race Slicks and Rains. There are even a few 16.5's available.
I owe some folks on this board huge for their past generosity in various matters, and would like to support my friends and member of this board in their racing efforts.
Tires are a huge cost of this sport, for practice, race and spare rains.
I am willing to donate tires to qualified candidates. Shoot me a PM. Hell, I'll shoot YOU a PM just to get you back out there and riding and reporting on your efforts.
The1904Kid, Norman Perez, where are you?
Mike, you want to groove and try a set for GMR or at least have some spares? Norton John, you buy a proper bike yet?
These are reported to be soft supermoto specific tires by Dunlop, Maxxis and others. I haven't picked them up yet, but will post up more info when I get them in my hot little hands.
Stay tuned.

Thanks for the offer, especially free! But my DRZ is pretty much a street going canyon carver. I like my Pilot Powers so let someone that really needs them get 1st choice.

I have fully converted the storm trooper to track duty. I even convinced him to go to the Rich Oliver Mystery School which he talked trash about. he needs NOTHING from you!Brakelate wrote: ... Norman Perez, where are you?
actually he probably needs more tire help then me, but we race the same classes so I hate giving him any more upgrades for his bike.

I'll take seeing your bikes and faces again over any free tires...specially free 16.5'' to help finish my converted RMZ. Sorry, I've been super busy. I know. Im a terrible friend.

Tires are in!!!
Holding some 16.5's just for Norm. I have two or three at least.
Lots of 120-17 soft fronts, med rears in 160-17 and a few used and new old stock rain pairs.
All new, old stock. But, stored right, soft and ready to go!
Step on up. I am attempting to resist spooning on some Soft Slicks just for tomorrow's Breakfast Ride.

Re: FREE RACE TIRES to our members
Ok, so the wifey went up and was able to sell of a couple sets at The Streets on Sunday while the San Diego Supermoto Crew was up there. I guess I need to go to SMJ and see what happened, but her report was that she bumped into Hai Pham and friends of San Diego Dave. So, I instructed her to hand out some sets to the guys in exchange for taking a couple pairs back for The1904kid, as they reportedly live next door to him.
They brought back a half-stack, and I offered up some of the remaining sets to LittleMonsterRacer who went on the Breakfast ride today. I advised him to join up here, because he fits in so well, but also so we could talk about these spares and how to get them to him during my move. If anyone wants, I can post up pics and descriptions of what I have left. Worse comes to worse, I keep them and hope they last long enough for me to get around to wearing them out.

Cool! You can ignore my post in the breakfast ride thread where I was begging for rubber. I will hunt down the hooligans who you had the tires handed off to.
Anything in a 150 rear that would fit a DRZ wheel?

These rears are all 160's. The Maxxis Presa's fit both the race bikes, and yet still fit on the DRZ-SM without hitting the swing arm once squeezed past the chain guide and caliper.
Perfect!
