Reminds me of the warm up Auto-X portion of the Chevrolet Demo event we went to. I got a great time in that damn Cobalt... by running through the (premature in my opinion) shut down braking zone - still running flat out. :o I killed some cones after the last timing gate (and got my ass chewed) but, the time stood. Making it all well worth it to see my name in lights, as brief as it may have been. But, my plan worked! :lol:
That was the best thing Chevy ever did for us. I FONDLY remember you and Juan locking up in the go carts and forgetting about a certain senior citizen... :whistle: Did we all get warned about being thrown off the track? I forget... :shifty:

Someone was too damn busy getting as "wide" as possible and doing the best blocking job I've seen in any NASCAR race before or after.

You really did a number on us. I knew I should have got out front to a clear track early on, but got screwed, drawing the short straw and getting flagged out at least five karts behind you and Juan. I still remember the gravel bouncing of my face shield and being pelted in my T-Shirt from your slicks as I was glued to your rear end.

Great times. Yup. Best thing Chevrolet has done, or likely will ever do for me in my lifetime. Screw that Vette. I actually had ten times more fun flogging those Cobalts and whatever that oddball all wheel drive SUV it was on that other, longer auto-x course. :auto-swerve:

Good memories. That was the day that I found out how bad my night vision was running that little course -- I could see NOTHING, but it was still fun. All in all, a great day. But it took about 2 hours to wash the stench of Chevy off. :doh:

I knew we had discussed these toys before... :whistle: Did anyone (Yammerhammer, Kawasaki, Suzuki) ever fire back, or does Honda own the market?
