You think they have overcome the turbo-lag issues? Or does it just make those numbers up high after 3+ seconds of WOT? Odd placement on the intercooler and fueling system. But glad to see the bike makers going back and trying different things again, like the early '80s. Revisiting Turbos and Supercharged engines, with modern electronics and injection, they may put out something rideable this time around.

"Turbo lag" is really no different than the "lag" of two strokes just before they "come on the pipe" or of cammy four strokes just before the "cam hits." In all three engine types, with experience, you learn to anticipate it and then you find yourself throttling in advance and "lag" is a non-issue. Further, in applications where a broad power band is required, the solution to a peaky power band is tuning, and turbos, displacement held constant, do that BETTER than either two strokes or naturally aspirated four strokes. Small turbos on slalom cars are amazing.
With this Suzuki twin, the potential is liter bike power coupled to the handling of a light weight. They'll blow it of course. The bike will be too heavy and conservative in power.
Along the way I picked up a turbo off of a 650 Seca and I'm dreaming of finding a 400 Ninja at the right price . . . .
