So, the solution is obvious. Just go to the Ford dealer and throw down some serious coin for the OEM stuff, and get some distilled water, and flush the system really well, and add the correct mix of water and OEM stuff for your expected temp range, and, you will be just fine. Of course, the mix may still darken with time, as mine did, but, no biggie.

No corrosion inhibitors in that stuff. It is also not supposed to lubritcate the water pumps as well as having some coolant in there.

Sounds like the links explained all that however.

So run Water + Water Wetter and change it often, or just lower your coolant to water mix. In the intercooler I run maybe 1 part coolant to 4 parts water with a bottle of Amsoil Coolant Boost.
