Racebronco Hood V2
Some of you guys might remember our buddy Carlos made me one of his 'track special' vented hoods out of a spare Terminator hood I picked up. I got to enjoy it for a bit then shipped it off to Steve at True Forged Wheels who is having them manufactured in a sort of business deal with Carlos. Being s good sport, I donated my hood to be used for the initial mold, as mine was the only current version of Carlos' design out there at the time. Here's the hood back when:
It looked killer but I had some issues with the paint due to the modified stocker employing different materials. My old body shop was also going through a change in ownership at the time, so I was left with some imperfections on the hood and fenders. Needless to say I have a new body guy these days.
Steve got his initial shipment of the hoods and was nice enough to drop mine off last weekend at my SVT storage unit. There are two different versions, fiberglass and carbon fiber. Mine is 100% carbon. Here's how it sits now:
Surprisingly it's much lighter than the modified stocker. I'm planning to paint it, I am thinking of leaving the area from the hood vents back 'bare' carbon. I am going to add pins, but haven't decided which ones yet. I am leaning towards the Aerocatch pins like on El Diablo Cobra, likely painted as well.
As we are about six months in the new house, it's not quite in the budget to get it all painted up yet but I'm gonna try to get it done soon.

Got the hood mounted up this weekend. I only took a few pics of it still unlatched.
I need to figure out A) what hood pins I'm going to use and B) if and how to paint it.

Finally out in the wild with the hood:
Still debating how to paint and what hood pins to use.

I'm from central FL, working in Pasadena, came across this thread on the hood. I'm in the process of putting a turbo on, looking for 700+ HP, very interested in the hood, Who is selling them?
