Is a 16 year old getting a 2003 viper a good or bad idea besides the fact of wrecking it or insurance?

Even if the car was given to you for free, it would be a nightmare paying the insurance, and maintaining the car.

Then when you get your first speeding ticket... insurance will go up more.

Unless your parents are rich and don't care, but don't try to do it on your own.

Plus the gas will hurt you too.

you are in the parking lot showing off to your friends and you may or maynot give in to thier ribbing about doing a burnout and hopfully you don't but as soon as you go out in the street the cops will be watching you.ten cars can pass them at 20 over they won't even see them but as you go by at only one over and they will ticket you for dangerous driving.no buy an old buick and have some fun with more than one friend at a time

if u can afford it, its cuz ur parents r rich. and a viper?!?!?!? thats a very bad idea. i doubt a kid could handle a viper, and if he could, he would get cocky and then make a stupid mistake and...bam! bye bye viper! ya thats a bad idea.

It depends on how fast you want to go. If you want to go really, really fast, buy the Viper.

I don't think you'll get a good student discount for a Viper.

it would be nice but a waste of money.

you could have a Porsche for much less

or a Mercedes-Benz SLK
