Must have been a VIper club run up at Willow Springs today.

I was motoring up the 14 when I was passed by a silver mini truck packing some HUGE spare wheels in the back. I was thinking to myself, damn, wonder if I could fit those on my Cobra, when I saw what they were for... it was a Silver VIper with black soft top coming up behind the truck. Apparently they were hauling freight, trying to get up to Willow.

It was caged (loops anyway) , and looked very nice. I was on the bike, and was thinking how fun it would be if we could line up a roll-on comparo ( ), but that's not exactly safe nor sane on even the most deserted bits of freeway, so I let it go.

Then, this evening, I saw another red one coming off the freeway in town all covered in the infamous Blue Painters Tape. So he must have been up playing around as well.

Damn those things were huge. Had to have been 335's or some such steam rollers.

I'd add something, but I know nothing about Vipers other than they cost a lot and they have huge engines. So, I shall refrain from any comments.

You could have said that you put hardened Viper guts in your T-56 when it was rebuilt.

That would not be true. My T-56 has the steel sliders from a Viper because the Ford T-56's aluminum sliders do not hold up well to the rigors of hard shifting. But, that was the only Viper part added to my trans.

345's to be exact.

The tires are huge on these things.

I just had two nails pulled out of my back right tire and when Hank's Tire took the wheel off the car, you really see how wide and huge the tires are.

Crazy....oh and they are around 450-500 a piece. LOL
