Can I put a 2003-2005 dodge Neon srt4 engine into my 2000 dodge neon? What modifications will i need to do?

I want to put a srt4 engine into my 2000 neon and make it quicker. will this be easy to do? what will it take? where can i find a cheap nice engine and trans?

Yes it is possible. Many have done it. Register on the srtforums.com and there is plenty of people there who have what you need!!

you can definently do it....you may just need to replace the motor mounts with the ones for the srt4...some other modifications may be necessary but they will be minor. for the most part, it should just bolt right up in place of the existing motor....

yes you can do it but you need to change the mounts and part of the wiring harness,and the exhaust system,there's a lot to consider when doing this though,so make sure you have access to all the parts you need to do it with,other wise the job will go from simple to hard real fast,good luck.
