SpeedGarage Investing Club???

OK. I sucked on the Laker win total prediction, but how about some stock picking?

What do you financial scholars think about Tesla? Market value greater than Ford -- Ford makes $4billion + Tesla loses 670 million same period.
It screams out for shorting, but the shorts have lost their shirts in the past 4 months. Makes no sense to me. Thank goodness Terri would not approve my short play a couple of months ago. Feels like even MORE of a short opportunity now

Companies with cash offshore are in line for a pop when tax reform allows that cash to be repatriated.

Apple borrowed against some of its ex-patriot cash, at minimal rates, to avoid taxation of that cash. Better to pay low interest on fully cash collateralized (no liquidation expense) money than to pay high taxes on that collateral.

Apple, Google, Microsoft - all good bets assuming tax reform since both parties say they want that cash repatriated.
