What PSI? - Intercooler reservoir pressure cap

Post by xbacksideslider »

Some quick checking of SC/GT500/GT40 sites indicates discrepancies - some say the caps are 10psi but others say 15 or 16 psi and apparently the replacement part number is for a 16 psi cap.

The Ford service manual says opening pressure 10 psi, so, it seems that it takes a 10 psi cap. I seem to remember that it was not a super high pressure system.

No, it's not a high pressure system. It's supposed to puke up a lot sooner than your typical engine cooling system.
