Eaton TVS Project

Post by SVTRonDogg »

I picked up a takeoff 13/14 GT500 TVS from Shelby a few months back. One of the many they take off for Super Snake conversions. It sat around for a while until I decided what I wanted to do with it.

Finally sent it in for a port job, removal of the 5.8 casting, and some custom powder. Going to be busy over the next few months but I'm hoping to get it on and tuned sooner rather than later.

Before/after pics attached.

Ron, are you installing that on your GT500?

Yes sir. The Whipple was the last big mod on my Cobra. Only thing left on that car is the brakes I picked up recently and more seat time on the road course.

This will be a nice upgrade on the GT500. As it stands it was making 545rwhp with a 2.65" upper pulley and intake, tb, and axle back. This should bump it close to 650rwhp with an injector swap. Don't want to push too hard, I prefer reliable power on pump gas.
