I only read one thread on the subject, but they mentioned other discussions elsewhere, and they spoke of 8 engine replacements approved by Ford for excessive oil consumption. The worst was a guy that was averaging a quart every 100 miles. Even one of the new engines still consumed oil, but well under the 500-mile limit per quart. I know it was Flintstone's technology in comparison, but I don't remember my Termi ever consuming that much oil, and I used to beat the crap out of that. Good maintenance, but the 27k miles I put on it were not easy. I shifted a 7k rpm regularly at the track. I wonder if they have been able to figure this issue out over the last couple years. It would be interesting to see if 2018s are still having the same issue.

Add that to the non-R GT350 not being suitable for track use without additional trans/diff coolers, and it takes some of the shine off of it. GT with both performance packs looks a little more enticing.
The cooling issue was early Tech Pack optioned cars vs. Track Pack. The later year GT350s made all the extra coolers standard. Early Tech Pack cars can add the coolers as well.

It seemed the initial idea was you either want the convenience or track ability, but can’t get both.

Been a busy bee. Just had our first baby a few weeks ago. Having some work done on the Terminator right now.

Have 108k on my 2013 Focus ST and fighting temptation to go get a RS (those are having head gasket issues, hooray).

And trying to catch up on my sleep.

I like this combo of old and new school. Now I need a gofundme for the $200K+ needed to purchase one

It's purty, looks pretty much a do-over. Thank goodness my belly-fire for toys is pretty much gone
