Big heavy hulking guzzler V8s - pfffft :(

In a light chassis, ok . . . .

Two liter turbos are where it's at, been that way since the '80s. :snooty:

Now that's some fake news I can get on board with.

Oh, for those long-ago years when 'fake news' was simply 'wrong', when things were confused rather than 'conflated. :hand:

I miss it too. The days before our Supreme Liar, I mean Leader, invented those words.

Now, back to this Mustang... I like it. I want one. Now I just need the money. Rach got her house remodel, it's my turn!

I have witnessed plenty of those with fake performance fall flat on their faces after they left a dyno pull with fake news and went to LACR to validate their massive power. LACAR had fake traction, but, a real NHRA timing system.
But, if you just like the sound and feel of a Mustang, the new Mustang should give you that, albeit at an elevated price, and, if you never take it to a drag strip, you could bask in the fake numbers that are attributed to it, and, be perfectly content. In fact, assumed performance that is all in the mind, is the best kind, as long as a person does not actually mess things up by testing it under controlled conditions, such as a real drag strip.

I dunno... I'm maturing. When I finally get myself another fast (relatively) car, I may take it up to Famoso for a little bit of fun. But, I think I'd really like to take it to one of those road course events at the Streets of Willow. It would be fun to take a corner in anger in a controlled environment. Either way, it won't be a regular thing like it was with the Termi. It was lots of fun, but I went a bit overboard there. I can live with perceived performance. :-D

I was inspired to write at length about how spoiled we were by the introduction oh the 2003 Termi in 2002. Then the f-ed left hand logged me out. Forthcoming from memory Monday or Tuesday... :liar: :liar:

Decided to Google it. Wow, that sucks. Burning 1qt every 500 miles is considered the acceptable level by Ford. Seems quite excessive for a brand new $65-100k car. Add that to the non-R GT350 not being suitable for track use without additional trans/diff coolers, and it takes some of the shine off of it. GT with both performance packs looks a little more enticing.
