What are the differences in handling characteristics between a MB sl55 amg and sl600?
as far as handling is concerned the 55 is just a harder charging vehicle. it is modified by amg to be a performer and just handles, well i would almost say stiffer.
the 600 in comparison is a cruiser - equal in horsepower and quicker on the uptake - well at a price.
simply put - should the unexpected ever happen, red light to red light the 600 smokes a 55, put curves to it and the 600 will see the taillights.
i think it is a matter of preference over all coupled with an affinity towards either an 8 or a 12 cylinder vehicle.
personally i would chose the 55 for the handling reasons, yet my wife is driving a 2006 600 for the comfort.
so i do not believe there is an absolute answer but i hope this helps you.

Mercedes AMG is race oriented performance. Everything is upgraded for the AMG cars they make. The V12 Mercedes are cars that shouldn't even exist! All they do there is drop a big azz gas guzzler V12 and modify the cars to fit them. AMG is always better. SL 55 is better than the SL600, but stupid rich people still buy the 600 for no reason.
