So? Is the July 1 Fillmore event happening? Are there any locked in stone details that can be absolutely relied upon? Should i fill my nitrous bottle and arm the system? Are drag slicks required to attend? Will the Hell Cat be there? What happened to Armando? Has he still got his car, as I have not beat down a Terminator lately. Inquiring minds want to know.

It also appears that the mother of all heat waves, can you say days of 110*+, may relent a bit by July 1, in Fillmore. That would be nice, as it is very hot, and there are warning for the elderly about going out in such weather.

Our Fusion would take some work for slicks. But it is pretty quick for a portly car with a tiny engine...

We are set to be there. Definitely glad to see some of this heat subside. Doing some outdoor work this past weekend in 100+* weather made me realize just how out of shape a few years of working behind a desk can make you when you do no other exercise.

I have no racing tires to put on our Fusion, but I can throw some old leaded race gas I have in it, and see what happens.

That is great, regarding Carlos. We moved the time to 2:00ish because Tim can't make it until 3:00ish. Actually I only know when WE are showing up

I'm out, the girls, mom and daughter, have decided that mom's B Day party is Saturday, instead of its real day, and we are going to the Huntington Museum for art and tea, which likely will be better than cars and fish with refried beans, rice, and beer.
