BMW specific block in motorcycle section.
Rumor has it, someone has the latest, greatest BMW 1000 with all the goodies and we want to hear about it!

My Concours 1400 has around 150HP.
Prior to that bike I had an FJR1300ABS which was just as powerful.
The bike I had before that was a 2002 Vulcan Drifter with around 47HP.
My first real bike was a 1983 Honda V65 Magna with the awesome V4 engine that made around 105-110HP. That thing was fast for a 17 year old rider.
The bike that was my first was a 1973 Kawasaki F6 125cc 2 stroke oil injected rotary valve single that made around 14HP but was in cherry condition.
The BMW, well that thing is in ANOTHER league in terms of how fast and capable it is.
Putting out almost 200HP and weighing not that much, this thing makes my Concours and every other bike I owned above feel like a slug.
It's the main reason I sold my 2004 Cobra, Viper and GT500 because it made those cars seem pedestrian.
One thing I love about this bike is the tech it also carries. It has a world class ABS, traction control system and also has the optional quick shift (i can upshift without clutching) - it also has a bunch of riding modes (Rain, Slick, Track, Race, etc)
You can dial back the power (Rain dials the engine back to 150HP, instead of full power)
Unbelievably, I've owned it for almost 2 years and it has under 1000 miles on it. LOL. So I really need to get out and ride it and my Concours as that only has around 4300 miles on it.
Just have too many vehicles.
One time I was getting on the 101 near my house and I forgot that the tires were not warmed up and hit the throttle on the on ramp, the rear slid for about a millisecond and I saw the DTC light up saving my ass.
It's just as good if not better than the traction control on my Concours.

How are the ergonomics for an RR type bike?

I am 6ft tall and comfy on the S1000RR.
I've ridden an R1 (not at length) and this is definitely more comfy, at least to me.
