Ford Fusion Titanium

Post by jhwalker »

Is what we rented for the 20 day Western States Tour. It is pretty sweet. I am running it pretty hard, still getting 26 mpg which means that the 2400-2500 miles of driving will not cost a lot. It is VERY comfortable. We are in Bend Oregon this morning. Had to deal with some BS 55 mph limits aggressively enforced yesterday afternoon thru the mountains so played with passing people and getting back down to 62-63 mph as quickly as possible. It has a nice double kickdown that gets one around the log trucks very quickly. I was tracked by the OHP twice yesterday for long periods of time while they were deciding to write me up (I guess) and each time they finally passed me handing out only "I know what you are doing" long stare... A ticket would have not been a good thing. My Viejo loco gringo act would not have played as well here as it does in Mexico. Today we head on up to Moscow Idaho to see our son Brendan and his wife for a couple of days and then down to McCall Idaho where a relative who is an off-road vehicle dealer has a 5th wheel parked and a pontoon boat and a bunch of ATV "product" waiting to be tested... I may copy this into the Western States thread. Terri and I have seen friends and relatives every day for the past 7 days while driving up thru Paso Robles, Dublin, Danville, La Pine Oregon, and now Bend which is a nice little place. California is PARCHED. Sad to see. We crossed into Oregon and the friggin place is flooded with water. ??? Rivers, streams, lakes, irrigation ditches. Nice
