Are there any fast sport cars like the Lotus, Porche, Lambo, Ferrari, maserati that is automatic transmission?

why? why would you want a car like that with an automatic transmission? Does that not defeate the purpose?
But I am sure they make them, might have to request it, and pay extra for it!
Thats just sad!

The word "sportscar" and "shifting" go together.
Automatic trannys are for old people in family sedans....or stationwagens that do not race up alpine slopes and on curvy roads where shifting is necessary as you can feel tire slip and traction thru your hinee.
Automatic transmissions are too mushy compared to the instant torque from a manual clutch(up or down).
Sportscar and automatic transmission are two ideas that do not go together.

A sports car will have a manual transmission.
If it has an automatic transmission - it's not a sports car!!!!

Porsche (Tiptronic) , BMW (SMG), AMG (TouchShift), Ferrari (F1-Superfast system) all offer semi-automatics. Some offer F1 inspired controls and performance, they are not a joke anymore.
I still prefer a 6 Speed Manual, but a car with a true performance semi-automatic is a faster car, you can shift faster than a manual one.
If Ferrari uses it in their top of the line sports cars, how can it be a joke? All Formula 1 Cars, which is the pinnacle of racing use them.. The technology has trinkled down to production cars, VW DSG is a great system you can buy on GTI and GLI models..

You wont find them in automatic, but you could pick up one with trip-tonic shifting.
Basically, there is no clutch, and you just shift up and down easy.
But if you want the full experience of a sports car, you need to learn manual. It looks and feels so lame when you just sit there, not hitting clutch, upshifting, etc... Its all part of getting a sportscar.
