Is it legal in California and, does it void your warranty? As I recall, Ford has to calibrate the tuner for your specific application, which means that they will know for sure that you purchased the tuner and no doubt flashed your car and used it. Their numbers are for 93 octane, but, based upon the graph that you posted, there apparently is quite a bit of head room in the ST for additional grunt.

I almost bought a black Focus ST3, but ended up with a 2014 VW CC VR6 4Motion instead.
That ST was a fun car to drive.

This is interesting;
"Revised sound symposer software and calibration for more natural engine sound"
So, do they give you a larger Amp and speakers to make it "sound" faster?
Actually, 90 ft/lbs is a pretty significant increase in percentage.
They had that "Mango" one here locally. Recaro's and all the goodies. I should have at least driven it. Seats looked awesome. I believe I am of the somewhat narrow focused body type that would fit in and enjoy them. Seems taller folks like Ronnn LOVE them, while Tetge absolutely did not. But, I have read that before. I fall somewhere in the middle. Almost as tall as Ronnn, but a lot *cough* "thicker" than Tetge. Yup. Should have at least sat in it.
But, then I would want one.

A Ford dealer has to install the flash to keep the powertrain warranty intact. From what I understand, you can do the plugs yourself without retribution.Tetge wrote:Is it legal in California and, does it void your warranty? Only reason I will stick with the FRPP tune is I don't plan any other mods, and they know their cars better than anyone else. Plus the chances of blowing it up are fairly slim. I'm not looking for MAX POWER out of this thing, but the torque boost would be sweet.
A buddy of mine picked up a white 2014 ST, he will be going the dealer route to install his kit. I might do the same as I have 11k miles of powertrain warranty left.
