Re: The beat goes on... :-)
This is confusing? Is Juan going to weld James up after the surgery? And, nets and lasers blowing things up? Jagged pieces left behind? Sorry, but it does not sound fun at all, and to boot, and So Cal is experiencing such a heat wave that I have to drive my car about 100' feet each way to check for mail as the walk is too exhausting in the heat sans a/c. And, as i note now and then, James is significantly older than even I am.
But, it also sounds as if modern medicine has once again made successful procedures possible that are far superior to an old school extensive surgical hacking in (hacking in is the technical medical term, I believe), so that is a very good thing, painful recovery aside.
Good to hear that you survived another shunt with the doctors.

OK, since you say so, I will relax from my almost always sober state, and have a drink or two in celebration of your successful recovery.

Re: The beat goes on... :-)
right after my posting, I had to pass a large sliver of the formerly large stone which involved 2+ hours of glazy-eyed, profuse sweating, grunting and writhing and praying for relief, and then another smaller sliver that only took a 1/2 hour to pass. Now, if things stay 'good', we have to mop up the medical billing and figure out when we can fly home...
I have had no alcohol for so long -- due to taking antibiotics -- I MAY no longer be addicted. need to correct that.

Well, no new issues -- we plan try to jump on an airplane to BJX in Leon by Friday. I fell out of bed this morning (dummass) and walked around like a cripple today. Such is life... I now know that 'passing kidney stone slivers' simply kicks my ass -- no contest. I'd hoped to see us get together, but I'm scared poopless of drinking before getting 'well'' ( no idea what being 'well' means any more )
Best to you all up here.

There's a typo in the subject heading.
heat, not beat.

You are right. Heat! And it looks like we will leave either Tuesday or Wednesday. I have felt good, other than the effects of falling out of bed.xbacksideslider wrote:There's a typo in the subject heading.

We are having more torrential rains in San Miguel.

We leave tomorrow.
No pain now from the kidney stone.
Some continued pain from falling out of the bed.
Looking forward to being home...
be good, everybody.
