Last night/this morning, from Mexico to LA, was rough. We received a text that the 6:30 am flight had been moved to 6am this morning, and that the "arrive 3 hours before an international 'flight" rule was being enforced. Best case, from our casa to the airport is 1.5 hours, so we would have needed a 1:30 am pickup at the casa.
So we arranged to sleep near the airport and have a shuttle driver drop us at the airport at 3am.
yawn
Set alarm for 2:30 at the hotel, went to sleep, got up, got to airport on time. Found that the immigration staff doesn't show up until 4:30 , dealt with that, then found out the flight was delayed for 1 hour...
So, 6:30 to 6 to 7:30 double yawn. Finally took off and all is good now...
Hope this is not an indication of the next 17 days...

It's enough to make you swear off travel by plane.
That's my attitude. No more pleasure flights to anywhere. Mandatory unavoidable business or funerals/weddings only.

We are settled into Hastings, not far from the track. The flight from LAX to Omaha was easy -- right up to the last 10 minutes. Then very bumpy until we landed with a BANG. Me no likey…
Easy 135 mile drive from Omaha to Hastings but it is wet and cold. The one Lap of America cars come to the track tomorrow -- supposed to be some nice cars. There are two track sessions scheduled. SPF owners are showing up for our event as I type. Should be fun.

We left Hastings and are now in Conway, Arkansas. Visiting Terri's sister, Dana, and her husband. From Hastings to here was WET. And very pretty. Arkansas is very nice. We are snooping around.
My expectations were too high as usual for the track. It was fun, but the stroke symptoms really come into play on a track at speed.
more later...
