Must not be too much crime if you can leave your palace unguarded. But, it could get crazy in Mexico, as the attitudes there are hard to understand and there are a lot of young people who no doubt think that they are immune, a belief that they are starting to say may not be entirely true. I have no idea how good the Mexican health system is at this point....

The "this is a hoax" thinking is definitely worse than panic shopping. Panic shopping is stupid, and makes for difficulties in buying normal groceries and household items. "This is all a hoax" makes for much more rapid spreading of the virus. I seem to remember a certain orange "leader", and a certain American "news" network pushing hard the notion that this whole thing was a Democratic hoax. That was not helpful in rolling out the proper response to keep dangers mitigated.

As for Mexico, I really hope it stays out of there, if enough people feel that way. I spoke with my mom last night, and she admonishing one of her neighbors for not wanting to have contact with her. I reminded her social distancing is a really good idea right now, especially for senior citizens. She said, "You have to have faith." I told her faith would not keep her from this virus, and it wouldn't keep her from spreading it to neighbors if she didn't take it seriously. Luckily, she listened, and is limiting her trips outside to grocery store visits and walking her dog around her complex.

You guys stay safe.

yup... you and Rachel stay safe too.
Our Mexican doctor/friend said 'don't return for 8-12 weeks.' We need to return in two weeks to pay the staff.

Lupita and Javier are there -- plus a pretty good alarm system, some 50+ detection points, 8 cameras, lights, sirens. No automated guns, however

Lights and sirens? 50+ detection ports? 8 cameras? Solar power with backup? Giant stored rainwate supply. Safe rooms?
I sort of think that automatic guns are frowned upon where I live, or, I'd have some to deal with the rude dog owners who look around first to see if anyone is watching and then let their dogs run up onto my place to do their thing. Automated guns would certainly get their attention. Must research.........

I forgot UV 'walls'. The foxes cause a problem, and for a while a neighbor's cow was coming on our property, leaving these 'gifts' after eating our new plant buds...

I see that Javier's car has a broken window

We told Lupita to take a 'paid' break. Suddenly it is hot in San Miguel. Gonna be 93 next week.

If the creek don't rise we fly back tomorrow morning. We will see what the entry hassles are... We are uneasy about our options. But they are what they are...

thanks. We are home. Good trip on Volaris. 'Out of an abundance of caution', we are giving Lupita and Javier a couple of weeks of paid vacation.
We are pretty much going to self-isolate out here in the country -- and Terri will do Lupita's work, i'll do Javier's.
