Re: 3/30 Life in Mexico Update
San Miguel has NO stoplights and NO stop signs.
We have 4 roundabouts slowing highway vehicles as they enter town from the 4 highways. Which is good since there are horses, burros and old men pushing wheelbarrows on the streets in town.
There is no straight shot thru town.
THE traffic rules are
1. first there (anywhere), rules -- but watch out for the 'topes' (giant suspension-wrecking squared-off speed-humps/bumps that usually blend in with the street
2. uno a uno -- right-of way in all intersections alternates between N-S and E-W directions. Hint - drive fast...
The attached vid demonstrates..

Re: 3/30 Life in Mexico Update
Adam, Melinda, Theo, Ryan and Brooke are visiting for 1-2 weeks.
Horseback rides, fiestas, Thanksgiving, gun range time, spending time a friend's race car shop, seeing the work in process (3 of his cars did well in the Carrera Panamericana race this year -- then Saturday Terri's multi-party (turning 60, and she has 40 more calendar work days before retirement, 35 years of marriage, blah blah.
a busy 1st week...

I shared the thought, she says 'thanks and 'hi'.SonicVenum wrote:Congrats, and happy birthday to Terri!
Took Adam & Ryan and Brooke to the gun range today. It was fun, but I can't hold the 30-30 Winchester 94 steady with my dead left arm, and need to compensate some way for the blind spots in my left eye.
But fun, believe it or not. With my right hand can still shoot tight groups at 15 yards.
Buuuuuut, it will be a while before I win another range competition.

Re: 3/30 Life in Mexico Update
Glad you all had a great time catching up with the kids!
We had a nice Thanksgiving with my family, then threw a little party on Saturday evening for the adults in the family. Lots of food & drink, lots of pooch-faced parents while the kids were with baby-sitters/grand parents, and a good time had by all.
