Terri and I head to Japan for a 26 day visit
Going to see Adam, Melinda, their son Theo and new daughter, Rose. After visiting them at the Okinawa military base for 'too long', we head over to the bigger island to tour awhile. Should be fun.

We hope to. Going to the area where Terri's dad's parents lived...

If you google '7 days in Japan' (for when we leave Adam's house in Okinawa) there are millions of entries. Japan can be 'spensive' it appears.
We will make a travel report daily. We are getting pretty revved up, doing the planning and schedules.

The trip planning is winding down.
We leave for LA 2/14.
Leave for Japan 2/20 -- as always some medical bs before leaving
17 days in Okinawa (too long) -- then wandering thru Japan.
time in Osaka, Kobe, and a couple of small towns, finishing up in Tokyo
for a few days. Planning to visit Suzuki, Yamaha and Honda museums.
Returning to LA 3/18, then hanging out for Brooke and Ryan's baby birth
then to No Cal for a friend's wedding
then back home after
Turning in Terri's leased Fusion -- it has been great.
Putting the Ski Nautique back in its Needles storage
Should be home by 4/10. Long trip... Should be interesting.

Re: Terri and I head to Japan for a 26 day visit
I finally arose today, at 11:30 am, and, I read this post, while sitting around hoping that my morning coffee would kick in sufficiently to allow me to muster up the energy to do the approximately 100 yard round trip to my communal mailbox, down at the corner. In fact, I may have to take several rest breaks on the long trek, as 100 yards is a very long trek indeed.
So, it is with great respect, and with some amazement, that I read of an extended journey to a far off land by my old acquaintance, James, who is only a bit older than I, and who has had to deal with the residual effects of several strokes. I know that such travel demands significant levels of endurance and strength, as hardy folks complain about delays at airports and discomforts of long plane flights, and time zone adjustments, etc. So, It is truly impressive that such a journey can be made, and it also highlights that survuval takes both attitude and hard work. So, hats off to Mr Walker, as it can not be easy to stay so active, and, everyone agrees that all rehab is very hard to deal with, even when strongly motivated.
So, have a good time, and stay safe......
