did much, but had a lot of fun. Oh, and tecate-ensenada on a tandem..
started in the back of a huge pack, ended up in 66th place.. we were crazed...

Oh.. back to work, then sleep.. this is addictive.. I should know better..
You computer nerds post at all hours. It is easy to pick you out from us normal folks who just use the computer for recreational purposes. Funny, but it appears that I attended at least a couple of your big races. I do recall that you gave me a Corvair with an empty fuel tank in Mexico and told me to drive it back to Ensenada from Tecate with nary a gas station around. I suppose that was your way of insuring that I didn't abuse the Corvair. It was nip and tuck and some of the river crossings without bridges were scary except I knew that all the bicycles had to go the same route. But, it was cool when you went by the motel in Ensenada at about 100 mph on the tandem right up close to the front of the race of thousands of bikes. However, you were not piloting the tandem and that really seems crazy to be on the back madly peddling away while descending down twisty and treacherous roads at god awful speeds on an overweight bicycle with effectively no brakes. Insane may not even be a strong enough word.

Ok, but that wasn't the worst part.. the worst part was passing all the thousands
of other bikes, descending at 40 plus, on the wrong side of the road that had
been supposedly shut down, in Mexico, with only my loud partner as a horn..yelling
'Get out of our way, we are coming through' at the top of his lungs. Yes, crazed
is not a strong enough adjective to use in describing our mental state. But when we
pulled up on Bill Walton (giant bike).. that was a rush. As we moved more and more
forward in the pack, passing got a little more difficult, as you can imagine. Oh, and
do you remember our helmets? Engineering hats. My partner with a natural leather
jersey...the Tanning clinic was OPEN. BTW, that may have been the best gas
mileage my Corviar ever got.. so I know you can do it with your Mustang... 14 my ass.

The Tour has, big surprise, stated today, that they will welcome a clean Lance Armstrong back. Who would have thought that they would want the publicity?

Is that what is called a "rhetorical" question?

Yesterday reporters were spending considerable ink on whether or not the Lance's new team which was banned in 2008 for doping would be allow to run the tour.
BTW, you only need 70 more posts to pass Brakelate for #3 on the list (click on "members" and then click twice on "posts" up at the top of the column and it will put the number in order for you.

That is fine. And, there is no contest although this board looks a bit better now that it has some posts. But, if you should happen to pass Brakelate......

I am sure that he jots down his post count before each time he logs off. One can't be too cautious.
