As disgusting as it is, the Clips are one of the more entertaining teams right now. They are mean, have too many guards, have a psychotic bench -- and you never have a clue what the team might do. It being two hours later here, I turned off the game and hit the sack when they went up 12.
Just because they got/get a lot of T's and they are covered with ink and all, does not make them mean or psychotic. But, perhaps a bit of attitude helps since nice guys finish last? In any case, they won game two, even though it was ugly and they might not have hunbg in for the win in prior years. Still, I am nervous about the series since the teams do seem mighty close with identical season records and a history of tough hard physical battles between them.

I am pulling for them. I like mean, and I like psychotic. Those were compliments. 8-)

I never thought that you were not complimenting them as I assumed that you liked psychotic. I am pulling for them as well, but, I still have some concerns, because, after all, they are the Clippers.

The Clippers reverted to about the worst basketball that I have seen them play in quite awhile. This is exactly what I was worried would happen. But, they still have home court advantage and a 2-1 lead, so, who knows?

Odom, who I always liked as a player for some reason, is actually playing fairly well for an old guy. I still can't figure what happened to his shot because when he was at Miami he averaged almost 20 pts, or so, and he always could shoot in the past. Perhaps he lost the shot in the divorce? But, he is getting rebounds and he sees the court well and he can even bring the ball up court and he is bigger than a lot of other players so he adds defense. I can only hope that the Clippers regain their shots and swagger and take game four.

Pro ball, with all the stops of the action for fouls and video reviews and time outs, and all the allowed traveling and carrying of the ball, etc., has strained my ability to stay focused and awake while watching games. I agree that many of the fouls are real, and, per the rules, must be called, but the players are so big these days and the game so physical that it seldom gets into a flow of quick basketball back and forth action. That said, the Denver, SF, game, last night was good enough so that I watched the entire game. And, it came down to a last minute attempt to decide the outcome. But, those two teams do get out and run. Lots of game on in the first round and only a few close and/or interesting contests. And, yes, I know that the Lakers were on at the same time as Denver/SF, but, even a long time Laker hater might have skipped that so called contest. I just wish that Kobe could have been there on the floor to suffer the loss.
