Now that Terri and I are golfing pretty much every week that we are both here, I enjoy watching the golf -- when I can stay awake. 8-) I watched a Korean woman golfer a couple of weeks ago chip/pitch in from off the green 3 times to, first, not be eliminated, and then to finally win. That was fun.

I find myself reading more... Right now I am refinishing a table tennis table in the garage.

But I will watch (at least part of each of) the remaining playoff games. I could see sweeps on both sides, and have NO clue who will win the Cleveland / Atlanta series. It is hard to bet against LeBron, but Atlanta is probably the better team with Love out and Irving injured. But it is hard to bet against an inspired LeBron...

If GS does not KILL Houston I will be shocked.

By the way, the act of my picking a team is usually the kiss of death for said team...

Maybe next year?
I watched drag racing from Georgia yesterday, and it was pretty boring as well, especially since the left lane sucked. But taking three hours to present 5 minutes of racing action stretches my patience to the breaking point.
I use my DVR for drag racing. And you are right, it was a one lane track after the first round. Maybe they need someone with balls the size of Bob VanDergriff who last year at Atlanta stopped his TF Dragster across both lanes before the end of the track to get the NHRA to stop the race due to rain. He almost lost his car after a severe loss of traction off the start, and after he got the car under control and stopped, he got out and protested loud and long. Awesome!

I have no DVR, unfortunately. But, of course, one lane better than the other is standard fare for drag racing, except one would think that at a top level race with no weather issues, they could have got the lanes equal. In fact, the lanes were working well in qualifying. So, with unequal lanes the strategy becomes to get the lower ET and lane choice for the next round, not just to race the track and your opponent. Not too good from a spectator point of view and, unless you subscribe to the cult of personality coverage, the show is not worth watching, for me.

Well, either Houston has REALLY studied GS film, or the Houston athletes are just playing better, or ??? --- but the wild-ass passing that GS does is no longer effective. Those passes are being picked off far too easily. I lost track of the turnovers, and GS was very lucky to win last night. Once again, ref calls and non-calls make the difference in a close game. Clearly Howard was fouled under the basket, no call, and a foul could have been called when The Beard performed his usual "just run over people" act on the last play of the game.

Pretty interesting game to watch, and since I really don't care which team wins, I can catch up on email while the game goes on.

I had to go to a wedding, but, no biggie since I fell asleep on the Cavs game, and I had a hard time watching the first Warriors/Houston game. I guess that since my team folded, I lack real interest in pro ball as currently played.

I also admit that I was pulling for Houston, personalities aside, as if they won it all, it would make the Clippers loss seem a little less of a choke. I also think that Houston may be well coached, and that they seem to improve as a series goes on as if they are figuring out how to beat the other team. But now, the next two games are crucial for Houston since the Warriors are arrogant and used to winning. They might not crumple and fold like the Clippers.

But, I still am not enamored with the way that pro basketball games flow or with the seemingly uneven way that fouls are called, or with the long time outs to allow TV ads, etc. And, they still take steps and hook each other and carry the ball without it being called a lot of the time. It sure is a rough sport for a non contact sport.

After watching some of the three Warriors/Rockets games, it would seem that the Clippers were wise to go fishing. Houston has no answer for the Warriors and they beat the Clippers in humbling fashion.

Of course, after watching the Cav's, I am not longer sure that it will be an absolute push over to win it all. The Cav's have this balding player. I don't know what position he plays for sure, but, he is big, yet he seems to run the court and handle the ball well. And, the Cav's are in playoff form.

Still, when the Warriors are raining three's, it is impossible to guard them all, so it becomes easy money.

The real Atlanta team showed tonight, but it didn't matter.

LeBron is allowed to foul, multiple times, on every play. Offense and defense. It takes a very special player to try to guard him. He is a beast, fast, strong, and delivers the pain. On defense, the last play of regular time, he bull-rushed a guy setting a pick and pushed him 6-7 feet right in front of a ref. No call. God help the GS Warriors -- they might all be broken in half in the first half of the 1st game.

Just like with the Clipper series, Houston is not going to go easily. Thompson stepped up 1st half. Got hot.

Tight game, tighter than the half-time score. GS in foul trouble. Oh well I'll watch the 2nd half...

Doesn't matter. If Houston somehow wins, due to getting a technical Dwight Howard will be suspended, and, without Howard playing, and playing like his old self, Houston has no chance. But, the vibes tell me at halftime that the Warriors will win.

And, BTW, who is this Lebron character?

OK. Now it is set, and, although I thought that the Warriors were a shoe in, I suppose that I shall have to watch at least in the beginning since the Cavs are mighty tough. But, the Warriors still can rain 3's from multiple shooters, so they are always dangerous since no lead is safe. It is also clear that the Clippers were not ready and that the Clippers lack the depth to win in the playoffs.
