After reviewing the replay of that entire event several times, the fact that he was not tossed on the spot is pretty amazing. Ok, I am biased -- I hate Miami. But the fact remains that he was completely out of control. You talk about "not basketball" !!

Either the Pacers are better than I thought, or Miami is in trouble against a rested San Antonio.
Who know how good Miami is? And, Anderson should have been tossed from game 5 but, he only pushed open handed, so no harm was done other than the fact that it could have led to something more. However, in all my years of watching basketball, not too many real fighting injuries have ever happened. There was Jabar and Washington and there were a few other almost serious fights, but, nothing like Hockey.

I am not a fan of any of the teams but, now, I am pullng for the Spurs. At least they are a somewhat Western team and, I still think, they are well coached.

So, the Heat got their main star, Anderson, back, and easily sent the Pacers home. Now, perhaps, there will be some good action in the finals, but, who knows since match ups are not something that I can figure, and players who are not effective in one series sometimes thrive in another. I guess we will find out something at 5 PM this coming Sunday, June 9. If rest is an edge, the Spurs sure have been off for a long time. But, even Miami gets 5.5 days off in which to recover.

At least the Spurs won game one, at Miami. If nothing else this sends a message that they may be old and, to some, boring, but, they also have game.

It turned out that when it came down to actually rooting for the Heat to beat the old, boring Spurs, I just couldn't do it.

Even tho the Heat benched that sneaky-fouler Battier, there is that "Birdman" problem. I am cool with the Bronster (the best player in the universe), think Bosh is completely unpredictable, and am pretty much "who cares zzzzzzz" about the rest of them, but I think Anderson (if that is his name) is bad for the game and if his tactics are not snuffed, the pro game will get even WORSE. So I am pulling for Robo-Duncan while hoping that someone will poke him in the eye to disrupt that fu**ing Scientology stare. Parker -- his problem is that he is French and ever since the French did not let us enter their airspace on the way to bomb Libya in 1986 I have had no use for the French. Plus he could not satisfy Eva Longoria. That was a pretty incredible shot he make... Not that I could not have also made that shot in my prime :liar:

As much as I hate them, the Bores I mean Spurs come the closest to playing the game the way it should be played according to this soon to be 70 white guy, and when you throw in a journeyman like Tiago Splitter  , there is a lot to like in the team that I hate. So I will pull for them, and that will doom them because every team that I have pulled for so far has gone DOWN!

Wow! You haters sure get into it. But, don't forget that this is entertainment for the masses, so, if the Birdman has fan support, the NBA will let him do his thing. Funny that some time ago they slapped a dress code on the players when they are coming to a game or sitting on the bench but freaky hair and excessive ink are fine.

But, as much as I hate to agree with you, I too see San Antonio as closer to an actual basketball team than Miami, by far. LeBron may be the best player on the planet, but, it helps to have structure and teamwork when playing a game that involves five players. And, Parker may be French, but, he definitely has game since, for his size, he gets to the rim a lot. And, it is not as if this is unexpected by the other team. So, he too, appears unstoppable. And, that is one of the characteristics of super stars. Duncan also seems to get his shots and he is generally quite effective. So, the Spurs are deep and they play team ball with quite a bit of discipline. It is hard not to appreciate this, if a person knows basketball.

Now off, in the record breaking heat wave that is the worst in the AV, to Willow Springs, which appears to be the hottest place in the entire USA right now. But, that will be OK since there are blistering hot gale force winds blowing. A sane person would stay home in the a/c, but, we planned an invasion, so attendance is mandatory. I am just hoping to bail early and go eat steak and drink in an a/c restaurant.

We tried to party but the bar was so poor that we had to order wine. The steaks were excellent but the service sucked big time. And the DA sucked at WIllow, so, the boosted cars ruled. But, it was fun anyway. There are definitely advantages to living in congested, expensive, Southern California.

Is there any videographic evidence that this was not just the hallucination of a borracho? :P

I did not bother with the GoPro as I previously documented the action at Willow and it still is TFTF City. But, everyone who ordered a drink initially agreed that they were weak and that they were mainly ice. When drinks are $9, this is a crime. So, my brother and I split a bottle of red, which went well with the tasty, giant, NY Steak, that I had, and which was guaranteed to have some alcoholic content. It was also cheaper than two $9 drinks. This was the second time I went to Foxy's, and the first time the drinks were great. I shall not return since they are inconsistent and a bit expensive, although one can not argue with their steaks. But, man does not live by steak alone.

On another note, WineOo showed up, so we had a little race, but, a dead stock manual transmission 5.0, on street tires, had nothing for a slug auto on MT DR's. The only plus for the record setting scorching temps was that I could not even do a burnout. So, my car did not spin at all, ever. I just power braked a bit and mashed the throttle in drive, and off it went. I made three passes and they were all within .091 seconds of each other. The first two were passes were within 0.024 seconds of each other but the final, hot lap spread out the range. Still, with minor adjustments, if I could master RT, my car would be a good bracket racing platform. Naturally, WineOo did a .502 light, and Willow uses the old .500 RT system. If a person has game, they never forget. There was not time to put my DR's on WineOo's 5.0 to see what it could really do, but, even though he did not have time due to arriving late to master the traction issues at the start, his traps speeds were quite representative, so the stock 5.0 with a manual trans has a lot of potential.

But, Masterblaster, with his Evo, cruised to a significantly better ET than I could muster, so I needed to drink. I can accept Brakelate's monster of a Terminator owning me, but, Masterblaster? It is sad.....

And, BTW, I am pulling for the Spurs. And, a sweep would really be great.
