Yes, I had to pull for them, but in truth for me it is more like pulling against MyJamiTetge wrote:And, BTW, I am pulling for the Spurs. And, a sweep would really be great.

Naturally, the Spurs are not the Clippers, so I am not a Spurs fan, but, I like them a lot more than most teams for the way that they approach the pro game. And, they show that coaching makes a difference so, maybe the Clippers were right to fire their coach? Although, saying that the Clippers are right, is pretty hard to do.

Who are these Clippers about whom you speak? I seem to remember them vaguely.Tetge wrote:Naturally, the Spurs are not the Clippers, so I am not a Spurs fan, but, I like them a lot more than most teams for the way that they approach the pro game. They are, it seems, those same old Clippers. But, hope springs eternally, although I was fooled by Memphis since I thought that they would do better after they murdered the Clippers (since they had to be a super team to knock out the mighty Clippers).jhwalker wrote:Who are these Clippers about whom you speak? In other news, Miami, killed the Spurs in game 2. Of course, some would say that the Spurs got one on the road so they are in good shape. They do have the next three games in their house, so perhaps they will win it all?

Yes, the second half was ugly to watch since a no contest basketball game is a waste of time to watch unless, I suppose, a person was a rabid Miami fan. But, I figure that at some point the Spurs gave up and started to conserve energy for next game since they did get one of the two initial road games, which, generally, is seen as a very good result.jhwalker wrote:tal vez However it seems like the Heat smell blood in the water... Uh, go figure. But I kept watching, because I expected the Heat to make a serious run.

Not a very balanced contest thus far. I expected close games but only game one was at all close, so far. Tonight was only good if you were a hard core Spurs fan, although I watched to make sure that Miami did not come roaring back.

What did we see? A 60+ point shift? Me no unterstant? Lebron the king and Lebron the chump? I would not bet a dime on the winner or over and unders on the Thursday night game. But it would be nice to see the Heat be one and done.Tetge wrote:Not a very balanced contest thus far. I expected close games but only game one was at all close, so far. I too can not predict the outcome of Thursday's contest. I suppose that I should favor the Spurs since they are well coached and at home and they always stay calm (especially stone faced Duncan) and fairly well within their game. It would help the Spurs if Ginobili, would start handling the ball and not handing to Miami, and if he might start shooting and driving and being the pest that he was before he apparently got old and slow, as he is hurting the team as it stands, IMHO. But, Parker is apparently hurt, and he, playing well, would seem to be crucial for a Spurs championship win. But, if Miami gets hot, and Lebron starts to hit his outside shots, who knows what could happen as he is a load when he is on? So, I guess I will have to watch the game and see how it plays out? No matter what, it will be over soon and, thus far, it has been a lackluster playoffs at times due to the many lopsided games.
