It was as I feared. I still admire the way that San Antonio plays. It seems that they never get rattled and the reason for this is that they all know exactly what they are supposed to do. They almost never act confused but the Clippers do get confused. And, when the Clippers offense is not clicking, they make careless plays and turn overs and the like. I have seen it over and over again, so I am only surprised when the Clippers win a tight game, not when they give it away.

But, it was an engrossing game to watch as it was so tight that they had to go to OT.

These games end too late for me. With daylight savings, we are two hours ahead.. No Bueno. Sounds like the OT was hard to watch. I would like to see the Clips knock them off. From afar, I think they still have a chance.

I watched the entire massacre tonight up to the very end. I decided to stick it out and watch the Spurs show how it is done as, and I have said this for years, the Spurs are an excellent pro basketball team. Of course this has been proved fairly convincingly by the number of championships that they have won along with their almost championships, but, you can also watch them play and see it. So, I am not surprised that the Clippers are getting hammered. This is not to say that I am giving up on the Clippers since if the Clippers get in a zone, they can out score almost anyone. But, San Antonio plays sort of calm and flat, so they will continue to bring it without the ups and downs and lapses that the Clippers seem to have.

Still, after watching the Warriors come back from 20 down in the 4th quarter to win, I am not sure who will beat the Warriors.

This is all hard to watch. Let's get this first round over with, and see some better games.

It is very frustrating to watch the Clips. They give away leads so effortlessly. After playing good ball to get the lead.

I don't get a sense for who is going to prevail. Clips are better athletes, Spurs are crafty b-ball players.

It is the second team who has been giving away initial leads all season. They played good in the 4th game in San Antonio for the first time ever but that was a fluke it appears. And, Doc leaves Jordan in while the hack a Jordan is going on. Then the first team comes back but the game is really too close for comfort after the second team breathes life into the opponent. As I said, this has been the pattern all season.

End of the 3rd. Tied. Midnight. I am turning into a pumpkin, got a big day tomorrow. I have no idea who will win. When Big Baby Davis becomes a factor -- and he was worth 6-8 points late in the 3rd Q -- it becomes a twilight zone game . But he hustles. Give him that.

I'll check the web tomorrow morning. Hmm, a makeup call on a screen -- and Chris Paul hits. And removes Danny Green's jock. Sweet. But got to go to bed now. Best of luck to you, Clippers.

It was one of those give the fans a heart attack games. As some have noted, this series is more like a good final round contest than a first round elimination. But, it is still clear that a well coached team where all the players, even deep into the bench, play disciplined and without panic, can defeat a younger more athletic team. Duncan seems to make those shots close to the rim that the Clippers sometimes miss and San Antonio rarely has those lapses of concentration that the Clippers are prone to. As well, in addition to a weak bench, Jordan's lack of ability to make free throws has impacted the game, approve or not. Personally I will consider boycotting pro basketball if they change the rules about free throws as intentional fouling has always been part of the game and, in sports, the strategy has always been to exploit the opponent's weakness. So, improve your free throwing, or live with the consequences.

Now it will take a miracle for the Clippers to win two games, but, if San Antonio wins, and I think that they will now, it will not be a fluke, as they play a good solid game, and the Clippers are still rough around the edges. And, on some level, I am even cheering for the geriatric San Antonio players.
