I'm expecting full ride reports for those of us not fortunate enough to attend. :auto-biker:

Ditto. Terri and I got home from the L A Special Olympics opening last night about 12:15 and are just crawling out of bed.

Nothing to report. We rode Saturday and Sunday and I am still alive. But, after I looked at the video I made on both days, I realized what a wimp I am since I never sped or did anything at all exciting. I'd share some video of the fast guys but I only have snippets of their riding as they passed me and then disappeared. I will attempt to make a video, but, it is sort of embarrassing because it shows that I have a ready to race bike, but, I am not a ready to race rider. However, I did survive, but, that is not so surprising as when one abides by all the posted speed limits, including suggested cornering speeds, things generally are pretty safe.

I wish that Brakelate had used a camera as it would have been interesting to see how things were going way out there far in front of where I was. At least my KTM ran OK and I didn't ruin my chicken strips. Also my brother smoked around on my killer DR-Z, which he was unfamiliar with and which has seriously bald tires, and he survived as well. In fact everyone survived and got to the restaurant in Leona Valley, which is now called, Jack's. They have applied for a license to sell beer and wine, but, they had no alcohol today, which was quite distressing. The food and service were fine, but I had the shakes bad by the end of the ride, as following the pros always is stressful, and I was looking forward to some medication.

Backslider, a notorious pro, showed on a fearsome full race, super light, 120 mph, KTM, and ran off and hid from me while his buddy on a Triumph Triple, which ripped by me a few time after the fast guys stopped to allow us to regroup. The Triumph, which it is said was designed to compete with Ducati's, was was too fast to even consider and it is said, that it handled extremely well to boot. But, of course, Brakelate took all that as a challenge and was last seen hanging with slider's KTM at speeds that made my teeth chatter, even from a mile back.

But, it was a great day for riding and not too much sand on the corners, although there was some, and, we saw zero cops, which was, a good thing, as far as those fast guys way out front were concerned, I am sure. And, some of the time, I kept Mikedbike in my sights, although his hopped up DR-Z really torques out of corners, and I had nothing for him either. But, he was a bit leery of cops since he has attracted their attention lately, so he took it easy and allowed me to tag along. Even at a reduced pace, Mike rides right along by my standards so I was frozen at the controls and seeing my life pass in front of my eyes all day. And, no booze at the breakfast stop......

Still, it was nice to ride with some other folks, the weather was nice, no one got hurt or crashed, and, I hope that I didn't hold them back too much.

Here is my DR-Z SM ripping by with my brother at the helm. The pic speaks for itself.... And, the other pic is from Saturday at the start of the run to Jackson Pond when Brakelate sent a message about how it was going to be.....

I uploaded a high quality HD video of Saturday's action up to Jackson Pond, to youtube. The title tells the entire story and it shows the truth just the way that I always tell it:

Here is Part 1 of the Sunday Breakfast ride. Sorry that I couldn't show more of the various riders but since they were all distancing the KTM, I only got snippets of them here and there. Part 1 is Little T to the top turnout. Part 2 is Bouquet and Spunky. None of it is the least bit exciting, although in Part 1, at about the 5 minute mark, I start down hill and you can see the suspension pogoing as I descend. So, there are some limitations to the stock, un-adjustable pieces, not that I generally would encounter them. But, when you follow mikedbike2002 on Little T, you might see all kinds of stuff, and, he was taking it easy.

Looks like you guys had some good fun. Interesting how the camera bike seemed to take the double yellow as a suggestion at times. :law-policered:

The GoPro setting I was using is a wide and high distorted lens setting that captures a lot and shows it in 1080p, but, it distorts things and makes the double yellow appear closer than it actually is. It also makes things look further away than they are. I will go back to a more traditional and focused view next time I use the camera on a ride. The Hero4 Silver has so many options that one has to experiment with them on an actual ride to see how they work. So, no crossing the double yellow and I was closer to the bikes in front of me at times than it appeared.

I was scared the entire time, but, I think that Brakelate and the other crazies appeared to have a good time.
