Buying used 2003 Buell Lightning XB9S and need your input on possible issues?

I found this used motorcycle locally with only 3773 miles on it. I am not too keen on buying older motorcycles, but I want to save some money for now.
So anyone that have owned this bike on a 2003 model or know some issues that may be related to it, please give me as much input as possible.
What would be a fair price as well you think?

BIG MISTAKE! Buell's suck! Get a real bike-Honda,Yamaha or Suzuki. A fair price for that bike would be the owner give you $500.00 to take it.

The Buell was built from racing machines so they are pretty quick in the pocket. With only 3773 miles its almost new. They are fun to drive cause they are very torquey and will pop when you roll on the throttle. Prices vary of course with condition and where you are geograhically. Obviously the prices go up with higher demand this time of year, especially in the northern states after a long winter. Good Luck!
