and what they do
and how much horsepower it will increase it by
and can you have both on your car

no u cant have both because 1 or the other replaces ur air housing box and like i said be4 the short ram ftw because washington is a really rainy state and the cold air intake will suck up the water ruin ur engine and ur screwed then u would basicly need a new engine and they r not that cheap i know i have bought serveral =\

to the guy above me...he didnt ask if he could have both?

a short ram intake pretty much replaces the plastic tube going to your airfilter with a mroe solid aluminum/metal one and you get a sportier aftermarket airfilter. it still sucks air from the engine bay so it is still sucking warmer air than a cold air intake would but you dont have to worry about rain water gettin in it. it will increase your hp a little but not too much.

a cold air intake moves your filter to a spot further away from the engine bay (EX down towards the bumper) where it can suck in colder more pure air. but if you hit a puddle the wrong way then your effed cause its gonna suck up some water and mess up your car. a cold air intake will add more hp than a short ram, but still not a whole lot of hp.
