Oh, and BTW, I already went through a full set of tires on those fancy 15" wheels I picked up from SonicVenum. The rear M/T D/R's were chorded, and the front skinnies had to be replaced, after one of them developed a nasty Goose Egg, apparently from the internal chords rupturing. Something about extended high speed running. Apparently those cheapo super light skinnies were not intended to withstand a sustained 165 mph. At least it just tore internally, and did not fully disintegrate at speed. Wheew.

I was well familiar with the area and depth of the creek. We were just playing around. The break through came as no surprise whatsoever. The current, amount of silt and the Samurai's inability to claw its own way out of the bottom of the creek bed were the little unexpected bits.

The boy bailed out "Dukes of Hazzard" style and jumped up onto the nearby bank. He didn't even get his feet wet until he drew short straw and had to go wade back in to hook up the tow rope to the rear D-Ring.

We all got a good laugh out of it, and it made for some stories to tell. So, in that regard, the little trip was a complete success and it went -loosely- according to plan.
