I'm looking to buy a 350z sometime soon (6mo-2yr). I'm hoping that the release of the 370z, coupled with the economic troubles of the automobile industry, will result in a price drop on all levels of the 350z (new and used).
Do you think Nissan will reduce the price of a new 350z since it will be discontinued in January 2009 with the release of the 370z?
What effect will the release of the 370Z have on the price of the 350Z?

Nissan may not have a rebate or anything, but they will offer some good apr's. Plus dealers may let them go for invoice. I suspect used prices may remain the same. It's all about how well the car is taken care of, mileage, year, trim level, etc....

They won't reduce prices, although there might be some rebates. They will simply start early cutting back on production so that there won't be many available, and if you want one, you'll be happy to pay the price. The 370Z will be priced higher so that the 350Z prices will still be attractive.
