Mexican Restaurants

I was wondering? Since here in the USA we have so many Mexican restaurants, from Taco Bell to fancy ones, in Mexico do they have gringo restaurants all over the place? I mean, places like Denny's and Sizzler and steak houses? Do they sell imported American beer in Mexico at a premium price? How about movies and TV shows? Do, they have a parallel English broadcast like SAP?


In short, have they been massively corrupted by the north of their boarder culture? Just wondering?

I will wait for Senor Walker to weigh in on Mexico. In Brussels Belgium, there was the Discovery Channel with English subtitles. American style food and restaurants were rare. There was a 50's style diner that served American food, in the Airport. I went there because they had pancakes, and the hotel shuttle would take me there for free. I looked over the breakfast menu, and no pancakes even though I had seen people eating them. Further inspection found them in the Dessert Menu

In Milton Keynes, UK, there was a franchised New York Deli, I think it was called Frankies. They were almost able to make French Toast. Breakfast in the UK is terrible

Yes, the home of Red Bull Racing. No chance to visit

We generally were chained to our desks for months until late at night, even on weekends. We managed to sneak away one Saturday for a trip to London. About 50 miles by train. Virgin Train takes about 22 minutes to make the trip. Free Wifi (Pronounced Wee Fee) on the train, clean restrooms and a snackbar in coach. Including an all day pass on the London Underground zones 1-6, 20 pounds, or about $32 round trip. A bargain

Did I mention the trains in Europe haul ass? Eurostar through the Chunnel to Brussels Belgium, about 225 miles, takes about 2 hours 20 minutes. Business Class was about $230 round trip

If you travel to Milton Keynes, I suggest the following:
Fly into Heathrow
Take the Underground to Euston Station
Take the Virgin Train from Euston Station to Milton Keynes
Get a cab from the station to your hotel

Outside of Milton Keynes, is a little Country Inn Called the Carrington Arms. A unique and tasty dinner experience. Have the soup, I repeat, have the soup! When ordering a steak, do not be surprised to hear a Filet pronounced Fill-it

Thanks for the tips! If I ever get over to Europe, I'd like to make visits to a few of the F1 tracks, and maybe a factory or two, if they allow tours.

Appleby's, IHOP, Starbucks, VIPs (lol) -- that's about it that we have seen. But we only know San Miguel, Queretaro, Celaya, Leon. Central Mexico has retained her culture well. Coors, Coors light, Miller, Miller Light, some Bud -- but Mexican beer predominates. Tequila rules...
