Olive Garden
Personally I think the place sucks. I'd rather go to McDonalds and I think that sucks too. It is true that one can get soup and salad and bread sticks for a reasonable price at Olive Garden but you get what you pay for. Their wine is expensive and not all that great and their bar drinks are weak. The service is only so-so at best. I had lunch today with a couple of Olive Garden fans and the place was crowded so obviously my opinion is not shared but, McDonalds was crowded also.

My wife and I like the Olive Garden.
The salads are fresh and tasty and the "Mixed Grille" dish is really very good.

HA! It is popular so there have to be difference of opinion. But, perhaps your favorite Olive Garden has better management than the one I went to? Or perhaps it is a simple matter of taste. I like strong salad dressings, for instance, and lots of them. I use tons of garlic in my sauces. The bread sticks at the Olive Garden were not bad so it was not a total loss.
