My reverse diet is working. Starting with my visit with Terri, and now my eating and drinking down here -- I am back up 10 lbs. I'm thinking about pounding food and drink for a couple days so I can see a 200 on the scale, and that should give me some diet incentive. 5'11" 70 200 lbs.

Yes, it's still going well. I'm down 27 lbs since June 16th. I was stagnant for a while, but started having cheat days on the weekends and the helped kick the weight loss back in. About half an hour ago I devoured a medium-temp 1 lb top sirloin steak with a side of steamed broccoli and cilantro lime dressing. Quite delicious. My g/f is down 22 lbs and my mom is down 11 lbs.

That is great. I need to show some self-control.

27 pounds in two months is impressive and a 16 oz steak sounds mighty good as well. I am on a gin and tonic diet. I do not lose any weight, but, I don't care.

Fer sure -- re: 27 lbs. Very cool. I had decided to skip the blanco for a night until I read this thread. :x

I'm pretty happy with my results so far. I've worked out (outside of just regular work) a total of ONE time. I'm a bit over 3 lbs from my first goal, then I can start on the next goal. If I stop being lazy and start working out regularly, things might progress a bit quicker.

Yes, why no working out? Why, even I work out. I walked all the way from the parking lot into the Wal*Mart, yesterday. OK, I admit I picked up a cart to lean on and use as a sort of poor man's walker, but, it was at least 100'. And, you know how big a Wal*Mart is, so I must have walked hundreds of additional feet. I was so exhausted that I was barely able to unload the small bag of groceries that I brought home before I took a nap. Nothing like a good workout.

How about we all get pedometers and report in on how much exercise we get? :-D

"How accurate is your pedometer? Are you really walking 10,000 steps per day? Researchers at the University of Tennessee put thirteen pedometers to the test to see which were the most accurate for counting steps when worn all day.
Previous research had shown the Yamax 200 to be the most accurate in lab conditions for counting steps and estimating distance. The test subjects wore the Yamax 200 on one hip and the test pedometers on the other hip to compare step totals. The test subjects logged an average of 9244 steps a day, nearly the goal of 10,000 steps promoted by several pedometer walking programs." "These models matched the standard pedometer

Underestimated Steps

If you use one of these pedometers, you may be walking more steps than it counts.

Looking at the pedometer reviews, they seem like a lot of money and mostly crap. http://walking.about.com/cs/measure/a/pedaccuracy04.htm

So maybe we don't all start wearing them

No working out because I've been lazy. On a day where I work in the field, I get plenty of walking in as I set up, monitor, and pick up our lane closure(s). I get more walking in helping our clients with whatever I can. On days I work from home doing administrative stuff, I don't get much walking in at all. Just up and down a flight of stairs a bunch of times to get food and water throughout the day.

Pat, I occasionally visit my local Wal-Mart, so I know what you're talking about. 8-)
