Re: Breakfast ride this Sunday
I am still here and riding almost every weekend!! I am driving my car tomorrow (Friday) to Sacramento for my nieces wedding on Saturday. Then Sunday to Sonoma to spend a few days with Lisa & Darrick. We may do a track day so I am taking my gear & will ride 1 of their bikes if we go. Be back Wednesday. My friggin back is still screwed up but I'm riding anyway. If the county would have paid up after the trial I would have put over $300,000.00 in the bank. But they are fighting it. They filed for a retrial & got turned down, then we met at a settlement hearing & after 4 hours reached a dead end as their offers were really low. Now they are filing for an appeal & it could take another year + before I see a cent of the award.

Well never made it up North. My car decided it didn't like going over the friggin Grapevine & the motor grenaded. Had it towed to Castaic & paid the $210 towing charge & gave the car to the tow place. Mailed then the tittle yesterday. It would have cost another $300+ to get it towed back to Montebello . Repairs would have been more than the car cost me!! ^&^%)#%^&)()&(^ I had a bad day Friday! But I went with a group and rode Azusa Cyn & GMR Sunday & had a blast! Same group I was leading when I got my ticket a while back. They asked where was the old guy on the other black DRZ like mine? I told them he was only allowed out of the house once a year!

Good compensation with a ride.
You just need to give Tetge a little notice...

Too bad about the car. It must have given up due to the lead footed driver! I was afraid that I might have offended those polite guys on the ride since I was being my usual sort of aggressive self and keeping you hot rod DR-Z in close sight since I know that if I blink you will be gone. However, most of the rides over the hill are too far away for me to consider them and I only have perhaps one last ride left before I have to replace both tires, so I am sort of saving the bike in case of emergency. The old ride to breakfast works fairly well since I can go home from Leona Valley easily, so it is a loop for me. In any case, I have signed up to get a hip replacement finally, as the pain has caught up with me, so I am not riding much as the supermoto is hard to get off and on, since it sits so high off the ground. I am not sure when they will get around to the hip as one has to wait in line these days since replacements are getting common and there are only so many specialists.
BTW. Can you share how much a passing over the double yellow ticket costs?

The ticket came to $312.00 & the Traffic School was $19.95. If u ever need to do Traffic go to Trafficschool.comTetge wrote:Too bad about the car. It must have given up due to the lead footed driver! It's an open book test so u don't waste time. Just about any dummy can pass the test. I DID! Good luck on your hip replacement.

Ouch! That's a lot of money for a poor old guy on a fixed income to dish out just because he was having a bit of fun riding. Good info on the traffic school, but, I hope that I never need it.mikedbike2002 wrote:The ticket came to $312.00 & the Traffic School was $19.95. If u ever need to do Traffic go to Trafficschool.com

Get it fixed - you won't look back, you'll be doing the high jump, the Fosberry Flop.
Oh . . . there's a SoCal BSA ride - meet at the shopping center - Topanga and the 101 - Sunday AM
