Truthfully, my bike riding scares me, but still thrills me. I don't know if my body can stand another big wreck, and the truth is if I ride hard off-road, I will wreck. Usually happens right after a stretch where I decide that I am still able to cut it loose again, just like in the old days. But the really good old days were 40 - 45 years ago. I feel what you are feeling. My big wreck down here 3 years ago which resulted in weeks of vertigo, throwing up, the inability to do ANY exercise, not even a thought of sitting on a bike gave me my first "life has changed" experience.
