I would not bet, but I would also not be surprised if they win in SA. It is just wrong (and I repeat myself) to watch two good teams slugging it out and then see what is going on in the Eastern Conference. c'est la vie :violin:

I honestly believe that San Antonio is the better basketball team. And, in a best of seven series, the better team almost always wins. But, the Clippers are younger and more athletic, so, if for some reason they get hot, they could win. Maybe Jordan will make free throws and their three point shots will fall? But, San Antonio doesn't have to rely on getting hot to perform at a high level due to their excellent team work and discipline.

It is a shame that the Clippers had to play the Spurs first round, but, to win a championship, you ultimately have to defeat all the good teams. So, no excuses.

I will not disagree about "team", but the Clips are an interesting group of athletes. If Crawford and Austin Rivers both get hot (not happening so far), and Chris Paul and Griffin (sp?) are hot, ?????

Ok, 10 seconds and Clips up by 4. Will they pull it out? Or will the gods intervene? ??? Two basket interferences, one is called.

Rock and roll! Will be a good game 7. Dare I post this with 1.6 seconds left?

I will eat some crow.

I always make fun of the guy, but if Big Baby can't play, it will hurt the Clippers. He brings a unique style to the game. An interior linesman's body, a nose for the ball, a knowledge of boxing out, an absolutely fearless attitude. A soft shot. Plus it appears that it can be painful to play against him the way he throws the body around. He still has no vertical, but it does not seem to matter.

So here's hoping he will be ready to help.

I had the same thought as he has rounded out into an effective sub on a team with no bench. Of course he knows Doc's system having played at Boston. I tired to see what his status was, but, there were no posts about it when I looked. Some of these pros are amazing sometimes in their ability to get taped up and play. And some, are hindered by being fragile, such as Kevin Durant and Kevin Love. Is it the name "Kevin"?

So, I am still very concerned about the Clippers chances, Saturday. But, I have to admit that the Spurs and the Clippers are having quite a close battle, compared to most of the other playoff games that I have watched. So, in some ways, it is all good from a basketball point of view.

The big deal in the news was that about 4 folks got him out of the field of play without the Clips using a time out. Easier because all 300 lbs of the Baby was prone outside of the court.

I always admire over-achievers because that is what I was. And BBaby is clearly an over-achiever...

B Baby actually threw down on a break away during the game. But, he seems to get more of his shots blocked than most big men as he generally does not elevate. At this point, if he can't go Saturday, it will hurt the Clippers as he has contributed quality minutes off the bench.

But I am still concerned since San Antonio is so well coached and they have a deep bench and a history of winning. I expect that I may have to medicate with Gin to be able to watch the game.

Holy Shit! Quite a game 7! And, somehow the Clippers won! But, if Paul is hurt, there will be no chance against Houston, especially since Howard has been playing like a monster. Not that anyone can beat the Warriors in a best of 7.

Still, the Clippers advanced!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Note: Gin followed by lots of B&B got me through the game as thousands of lead changes can be pretty stressful.
